HennaTrace helps you trace henna designs using a live camera preview, built-in templates, and designs you choose to import.

Website Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits and App Store link clicks. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and collect website activity, browser and device information, and approximate location information. Google processes this information to provide its Analytics service under its applicable terms and privacy policy. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google Analytics safeguards your data.

HennaTrace does not sell your data, does not use your camera frames or photos for advertising or tracking, and does not upload your selected photos, imported designs, or camera preview frames to developer-controlled servers.

Camera preview, imported design processing, and tracing reference exports are handled on your device. HennaTrace uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure in-app usage, but the current version does not use Analytics for cross-app tracking, targeted advertising, or data-broker sharing.

Information HennaTrace Handles

HennaTrace may handle the following information when you use related features:

• Camera preview frames, used to show a live tracing view and create a tracing reference screenshot when you choose to save one.
• Selected photos or image files, when you choose to import your own design through the iOS photo picker.
• Imported design images, stored locally by the app so they can appear in My Designs.
• Local app settings, such as whether onboarding has been completed.
• StoreKit purchase information, handled by Apple to load products, purchase a subscription, restore purchases, and check active entitlements.
• Analytics information, collected by Google Analytics for Firebase, such as app usage events, event parameters, app version, operating system, device model, session information, and a pseudonymous app-instance identifier. Analytics may also derive approximate regional information from a masked IP address.

How HennaTrace Uses This Information

• To show a live camera preview for tracing on your hand or skin.
• To overlay built-in templates or your imported designs on the camera preview.
• To process selected images into usable line art for tracing.
• To save imported designs locally in the app.
• To create a tracing reference screenshot and save it to Photos if you grant permission.
• To unlock Pro features through Apple’s StoreKit subscription system.
• To understand how users interact with the app and improve HennaTrace using Google Analytics for Firebase.

The current version may send the following business events to Firebase Analytics: design views and selections, camera opens, overlay lock actions, completed trace exports, import actions, paywall views, and verified purchases. Event parameters are limited to app-defined metadata such as design identifiers, design names, design category/source, paywall source, and StoreKit product identifiers. HennaTrace does not send camera frames, selected photos, imported design image data, screenshots, email addresses, or other directly identifying information to Analytics.

HennaTrace is a creative tracing utility. It does not provide cloud backup, account services, identity verification, or medical advice.

Data Storage and Sharing

Camera preview, image import processing, and tracing reference generation are performed on your device using iOS system frameworks.

Imported designs are saved locally in the app’s Application Support storage. HennaTrace does not operate a backend server for collecting your camera frames, photos, imported designs, or local app settings.

HennaTrace does not sell, rent, or share your camera frames, photos, imported designs, or local app settings with advertisers or data brokers. Analytics event data is processed by Google through Firebase/Google Analytics as a third-party service. Google may process this data according to its applicable terms and privacy policies. Subscription purchases and restores are processed by Apple StoreKit. Apple may handle purchase-related information according to Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

HennaTrace does not currently provide user accounts, cloud backup, cloud sync, or developer-operated storage for camera or image data. If future versions change these practices or add additional third-party services, this policy will be updated before the changed features are used.

Camera and Photo Permissions

HennaTrace requests camera access to show the live tracing preview. Camera frames are used for the preview and for saving a tracing reference screenshot when you choose that action.

HennaTrace uses the iOS photo picker so you can choose an image to import. The app only receives the image you select through the system picker.

If you choose to save a tracing reference screenshot to Photos, HennaTrace requests add-only photo library permission. This permission is used only to write the screenshot. You can change camera and photo permissions at any time in iOS Settings:

• Open Settings on your iPhone.
• Go to Privacy & Security.
• Select Camera or Photos.
• Select HennaTrace.
• Change or revoke the permission.

After access is revoked, HennaTrace will no longer be able to use the related camera or photo feature unless you grant permission again.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local app settings and imported designs remain on your device unless you delete them through available app or system controls, or uninstall the app.

Tracing reference screenshots that you save to Photos are managed by the Photos app and your iOS settings. Images or screenshots that you share outside the app are handled by the destination apps or services you choose.

Firebase Analytics data is retained according to the retention and account settings configured for the HennaTrace Firebase project. Aggregated reports may continue to be retained after individual event data is no longer available. You may contact us to request deletion of analytics data associated with your installation where it can be identified and technically deleted. Because HennaTrace does not require an account or collect your name or email through the app, we may not be able to associate a request with a specific analytics installation in every case.

Children’s Privacy

HennaTrace is not directed to children. HennaTrace does not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-controlled servers.

International Use

HennaTrace may be used by people in different countries or regions. The app is designed so camera and photo processing happens on the user’s device unless a future version clearly introduces optional cloud features.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when HennaTrace changes how it handles data. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
